Corrigan Brent Everett Part 3

Gnocchi ...

Okay this is probably not the most popular dish delicate and subtle that exists, but I must say I am quite happy to present you one of my adaptations ...
Largely inspired a dish tasted in Florence, Italy Last winter, I cooked quite regularly these gnocchi with Roquefort cheese and arugula PEPPERMINT in Paris ... But since I'm here, he found that the products in the supermarket are not quite the same as what I used to find. (And yes, even the bacon, essential element of the life of a particular student for spagetti carbo are difficult to find). So this dish with gnocchi, plus more roquefort rocket, all that I give up. But after doing my shopping in a grocery store specializing in imported cheese (and yes there are even unpasteurized cheeses, class!), And having found the blue (cheaper than the blue cheese) I thought why not . Except that I still had to find peppery arugula gnocchi unknown to my Safeway ... But last Saturday j''en've found in San Francisco! Hehe ...
Here I am spirit to enjoy this dish super rich (we must add more of the creme fraiche).

Homemade School Centerpieces

Weekend!

As has become customary on this blog, after a crazy week (though this time it was good that I worked 10 days) I take my Saturday to go for a ride to San Francisco visit to my Aunt Lillian who is a little bored.
is a beautiful day awaits us, blue sky, sun, spring temperatures ... Advised by the small
Caro, I suggested he go see the exhibition Marie Antoinette and the Petit Trianon (well, it's true, much of the collection comes from Versailles, and it has been there ...) which takes place at the museum of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco.

The museum is located at the north boundary west of the city in a beautiful park which also includes a golf course. This is one reason why I also wanted to go.

The museum holds include the original thinker of Rodin's famous! And yes, I also thought he was in Paris ...
The view from the museum is beautiful, with the Golden Gate on one side.

Golf on the other side. We can see also central city but also the Transamerica tower.

The museum was rather nice, we did not have time to really see the permanent collection that includes many of Rodin. But the building is rather lovely, with a decoration and a pleasant disposition. The expo was pretty good too, quite small but with interesting elements.

So it was not like that either at the museum. But we came back we see a rather unusual scene (at least for me ...). An Indian wedding.

It's funny because that morning we had passed this same hotel and my aunt told me about friends of my other aunt (who is a Fremont) who had married their child the same. A ceremony of madness that lasts several days in various palaces ... The AC had also actually look like, people were very well dressed (well normal for a wedding) but particularly well. And then Mary was on his horse ... women singing Hindu songs. The men all had a pink scarf. It was pretty disorienting.

Men In Underwear Peeing

Back from Heavenly heaven ...

No, no I'm not an angel who made back and come to paradise ... but I could not help but make this little pun ...
Weekend last weekend it was skiing at Lake Tahoe with my super Danielle couz 'aid volunteer has Heavenly, bigger and more renown Lake Station ...

I take this first weekend of 4 days (and yes this semester I have no classes on Fridays or Mondays neither (nor indeed on Wednesday ....) hehe) to the powdery tater! !

course 2valises authorized with my leaving Paris, the last thing it was good that I would take my business would have taken a ski that they seulent a suitcase. So thank you to Branko, and Claire, who lent me trousers, jacket and gloves ...
short, so a Friday appointment Fremont 13.00 for a scheduled departure at 14:00 to avoid traffic jams. But ultimately we need a little more time to pick everything in the car and the icing on the cake, someone forgets his glasses at the office ... It is therefore obliged to return to San Jose that is in the opposite direction of the mountain ... and our great desaroi by traversing the highway you realize that cars going in the opposite direction are blocked a bumper bumper ... After retrieving the glasses we decide it is wiser to stay here and leave the next morning at 4am.

So we have time to kill: what to do? A small detour to Home Depot (kind of large Brico ...) to do ... duty (yes already the first week). Early investigation of two hours when even with a hundred photos! At least
That was done!
Finally after a stop at REI (decathlon local), then Fry's has (Surcouf local) and Borders (fnac local) friends of Danielle inform us by telephone that the road is "clear" up to Tahoe ...
It was decided to take the road PAST 21h to 4h road trip!
We arrive a Tahoe late at night, time to unload the car, take a shower it was already 3am ...
But no time to waste standing at 7am, breakfast and you're going to rent my snowboard gear, you're on the tracks at 10am ... blue sky, a little windy but beautiful day, with fresh snow, a view over the lake ... Suffice to say wonderful day!

After a long and exhausting day that ended at the bar (with the fatigue and a few beers youhou ...), we end the meal in the outdoor Jacuzzi! well with a small beer ... ah life is tough ...

I must admit that at first I was a little offended to see all this wasted energy (courses on the environment and "green design" forces), but frankly, after a day physical, muscle aches, It feels good ... (And thank you tibo brosolo)

halfway charged batteries we go again the next day, this time it's ski school ... And yes, having no housing, no transportation, or pass to pay (that's the advantage of being "Patroller Guest") I offer a ski lesson. In fact it is also because Danielle has to work this day and I find myself a little bit alone. So what better way to meet people who ski, while improving my technique ... hehe

Except that here it is, the day before, hundreds of students waiting for their single, but this morning, it was only 5 instructors for 3 ... A godsend in a sense: during a particular group price! I had mono my
me, a very nice young Neo, who works at Lake Taupo, where I skied for the 1st time!

Anyway, the program bumps and trees, my blackheads ... well mostly black runs and free ride between the trees ...

Premiere descent Warm I've already hurt thighs feel like squats. But Movement is forced to see ... The snow is great, gray weather, everywhere but flakes ski conditions at the top!

We spend almost 3 hours to do bumps, trees, bumps and more trees, a miracle that I do not be exploding on a tree (a 2-finger pressure ... glug).
At the end it is flat, mono as well (on the last downhill it crashed 2 times, so that it does not happen it was the rest of the time) And voila
re-bumps after noon (must be practicing re ...), jacuzzi after skiing ... and final day, closed at 6:45, pb Logistics
snowstorm all night that continues in the day, matches were: powder up to the hips or thighs ... First
on some tracks, it's a pure delight from going down the fresh snow ... except when one is stuck like a jerk, alone on the track, no control, can not get up, one solution: the roll ... :)

Best day of the season (after the regulars), a day beyond my expectations!
