As has become customary on this blog, after a crazy week (though this time it was good that I worked 10 days) I take my Saturday to go for a ride to San Francisco visit to my Aunt Lillian who is a little bored. is a beautiful day awaits us, blue sky, sun, spring temperatures ... Advised by the small
Caro, I suggested he go see the exhibition Marie Antoinette and the Petit Trianon (well, it's true, much of the collection comes from Versailles, and it has been there ...) which takes place at the museum of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco.
The museum is located at the north boundary west of the city in a beautiful park which also includes a golf course. This is one reason why I also wanted to go.
The museum holds include the original thinker of Rodin's famous! And yes, I also thought he was in Paris ...
The view from the museum is beautiful, with the Golden Gate on one side.
Golf on the other side. We can see also central city but also the Transamerica tower. The museum was rather nice, we did not have time to really see the permanent collection that includes many of Rodin. But the building is rather lovely, with a decoration and a pleasant disposition. The expo was pretty good too, quite small but with interesting elements.
So it was not like that either at the museum. But we came back we see a rather unusual scene (at least for me ...). An Indian wedding.
It's funny because that morning we had passed this same hotel and my aunt told me about friends of my other aunt (who is a Fremont) who had married their child the same. A ceremony of madness that lasts several days in various palaces ... The AC had also actually look like, people were very well dressed (well normal for a wedding) but particularly well. And then Mary was on his horse ... women singing Hindu songs. The men all had a pink scarf. It was pretty disorienting.
